UK tribunal orders truant employer to pay Kerala man Rs 38.4L for not giving a day's work
A Kerala man, Shabin Shaji, was awarded £30,000 by a UK tribunal after a care agency brought him to Britain on a healthcare visa but failed to provide any work or pay. Shaji, who spent £17,000 to secure the visa, faced extreme hardship, relying on charity for survival.
The agency's sponsorship license has since been revoked.
