Notorious dacoit Jagan Gurjar was allegedly murdered by a fellow inmate in Ajmer jail. Police reported Gurjar was strangled with a towel by Vishnu, his cellmate, following a dispute.

Gurjar, who faced numerous criminal cases and had a history of high-profile incidents, was transferred to the high-security facility in March. Vishnu has reportedly confessed to the crime.
