SpiceJet to pay Rs 62,000 after denying boarding to couple with valid passes
SpiceJet has been ordered by a Srinagar consumer commission to pay Rs 62,078 to a Haj couple denied boarding despite having valid passes. The airline, failing to appear, was found guilty of deficiency in service and unfair trade practice.
The couple, returning from pilgrimage, faced a night at the airport and rebooked flights at a higher cost due to the airline's inexplicable refusal to let them board.
