'Hands tied, cloth gag in mouth': Man fakes own abduction, dials family for Rs 50 lakh
A Surat man, Jignesh Talaviya, has been apprehended after allegedly staging his own kidnapping. He reportedly sent a ransom message to his wife, demanding ₹50 lakh to settle share market losses.
Utran police successfully traced him to a hotel in Godhra, leading to his arrest for misleading authorities and fabricating evidence. Talaviya, an accountant, had been missing since June 12.
