Assam's Chief Minister announced that the European Union has removed its negative travel advisories for the state, a move that signifies a strong vote of confidence. This development, following a recent EU diplomat visit, excludes three districts still under AFSPA.

The state is now engaging with the US and Canada to encourage similar revisions to their travel guidance.
