The National Police Agency (NPA) said Thursday that it has dispatched a liaison officer to Bangkok as part of a broader push to crack down on fraud groups operating out of Southeast Asia.The liaison officer — an assistant police inspector in his 30s from the organized crime control division — will be tasked with analyzing crime trends and handling the initial response for raids on scam hubs, as well as building ties with other liaison officers.He will also coordinate on investigations with local police authorities in the region, where many tokuryū anonymous and fluid crime groups are thought to have operational bases.
