Amazon Web Services (AWS) is investing $1 billion to launch a new Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) unit, mirroring efforts by OpenAI and Anthropic. This initiative will embed thousands of AWS engineers directly with customers to accelerate the development and deployment of advanced AI systems.
