Acquittal doesn't guarantee back wages after conviction-based dismissal: HC
The Chhattisgarh High Court ruled against a former power distribution employee seeking full back wages after acquittal in a graft case. The court stated that a later acquittal does not automatically nullify the legal impact of a valid dismissal order issued during a conviction.
The employee was dismissed following a conviction but later acquitted on appeal.
