Punjab drug smugglers throw cash to foil police chase, held after encounter
A dramatic chase in Sonbhadra led to the arrest of a Punjab-based drug smuggler, Prince, who was shot in the leg. He and his accomplice attempted to evade police by throwing cash and ramming vehicles.
Recovered items include 3 kg opium, 225 kg doda, and Rs 50,000 cash, valued at Rs 58.75 lakh. His accomplice escaped.
